The Sonoran Desert is a highly commended tourist attraction whose main goal is to simply share the beauty of nature. Many people may be curious as to why the Sonoran Desert is even a tourist attraction. When you think of the word 'desert' usually not much comes to mind except for exceptional heat and barren land. What you don't realize is that once your eyes are opened to the beauty of the Sonoran Desert you will be able to see why it is such a beautiful tourist attraction.
The Sonoran Desert is located in the southwestern region and is right on the border of the United States and New Mexico. The Sonoran Desert is sometimes known as the Gila Desert because of the proximity to the Gila River. The other river close to this tourist attraction is the Colorado River.
The Colorado River and the Gila River actually flow through the Sonoran Desert. Because this tourist attraction expands into Arizona, California, and regions of Mexico there is much to see that brings people to the Sonoran Desert. This tourist attraction is one of the biggest deserts in the country and all of North America.
The Sonoran Desert being a tourist attraction has many interesting animals and plants that you normally aren't used to seeing on a day to day basis. In this desert reside the select animals that can withstand the scorching heat of the desert. The same goes for the plants that can survive in this searing heat.
Being a tourist attraction, there are also places people can go such as parks and museums. Even though The Sonoran Desert is a desert, many more people inhabit the surround areas of this desert than thought of. Another reason to visit the Sonoran Desert would be the warm weather in the winter.
When people think to take a vacation not that many have a desert pop into their mind as the number one tourist attraction. The one thing to remind yourself of when the weather gets cold would be to remind yourself of all the fun you could have at a warm desert. The Sonoran Desert has many other attractions as well as being beautiful in it of itself.
A typical tourist attraction is comprised of beautiful sights to see and fun things to do. The Sonoran Desert also has many parks nearby where you can view many different plants and animals. Nature in itself is a very beautiful thing to observe when you're in a new environment.
