Spanish Missions: History of the Sonoran Desert

The Spanish missions are known to be a succession of religious settlements made by Spanish Catholic Jesuits. The mission history provides knowledge to us that there were also Christians involved along with local Native Americans in these Spanish missions. The mission history shows that they tried to hold the upper hand in the Spanish missions' colonies of the frontier areas of Spain.
Many of these such Spanish missions took place in some part of the Sonoran Desert. Currently the exact location of where these Spanish missions took place is now separated between Sonora, Mexico and the state of Arizona located in the United States. Mission history shows that they occurred around the year fifteen hundred and twenty.
The Spanish Kingdom had a large quantity of Spanish missions in New Spain. The mission history pertaining to the Spanish Kingdom took place near Mexico and only some States in the US. The mission history of these Spanish Catholic Jesuits were in efforts to form their own colonies. Around the time of year sixteen hundred and eighty seven, a Spanish Jesuit named Fr. Kino was around the area and currently working with the fellow Native Americans in that area.
The area where these Spanish missions occurred was also known as "Pimeria Alta." The name "Pimeria Alta" directly translates into "Upper Pima Country." Therefore where the mission history occurred is known to be located in between the southern part of Arizona and the northern areas of the Sonoran Desert.
Mission history reveals to us that while Father Kino was in this particular area, he established more than twenty Spanish missions and these all took place within eight Spanish mission areas. Mission history also reveals that Spanish Catholic Jesuit priests were thought to have become increasingly powerful and were abundantly wealthy. Spanish missions must have come to an end when finally in the year of seventeen hundred and sixty eight, the King Charles of Spain forced these Spanish Catholic Jesuits out of the country.
Once forced out of the country they had to return back to their own country. Of all of the Spanish missions, the very first one that was instituted by Father Kino was the "Mission Nuestra Senora de los Delores." Mission history says that it was instated on the 13th of March in the year 1687. This mission was however discarded in the year 1744. The church that was built for this Spanish mission exists now in Sonora, Mexico.
After living a fulfilling life by making an impact with all of these Spanish missions, Father Kino had passed on. Once he had left this world, mission history shows that his grave is located in 'Magdalena de Kino.'
